An Update

I’ve decided to reduce caffeine in my diet. I was drinking far too much tea and coffee in the day, and not feeling any better because of it. A while back, I stopped drinking soft drinks with caffeine in, such as cola and the like, and found I was more energetic. If I cut back completely, I should feel less tired and have more energy to do things. We shall see how this caffeine free diet goes.

My Flickr page has had over 5,000 views in the past month. I think that’s pretty good going. The boost in my viewing figures is all thanks to Bex’s photographs. I’ve now had in the region of 14,000 views since I opened my account.

My friend Natalie has started hormones yesterday. I would like to wish her all the best as she starts her transition towards womanhood. You are a wonderful friend and it’s been great getting to know you, even though you live on the other side of the Atlantic!

Torchwood is getting better and better. I’m loving the new format, a continuing story that unfolds over consecutive nights. The ratings have been quite good as well. The first episode was watched by an estimated 5.9 million viewers. Tuesday’s episode saw a drop to 5.6 million viewers, but that is to be expected, as some viewers will loose interest. Last nights episode picked up again, and was back up to the 5.9 million mark. I will write a new blog entry for Children of Earth at the end of the week, once the series has concluded.

In the words of Thomas Jefferson:
    I cannot live without tea.

    I drink about 6-8 cups a day… I don’t know how much caffeine it has… is it a lot :-\

That’s quite a lot of tea, Steph. An average cup of tea has 50mg of caffeine in. Instant coffee is around 100mg per cup, which is the equivalent strength of a Pro-Plus tablet. Human intake should be no more than 200mg per day. Any more than that and we overdose!
